Guitars have been good to me.

I have been involved in the professional guitar industry for almost 25 years beginning in the late 80's where I worked for Mamelok Musical Instruments and later at A1 Music in Manchester. This is where I first got hands on experience and my love and appreciation of vintage guitars was birthed.

Back then vintage guitars were just 'second hand' used guitars, often more affordable than a brand new shiny guitar, but in my opinion always having far more character and mojo than any new guitar could ever wish to have. Vintage guitars to me are the connection I associate with the iconic guitar players of the 60's, 70's and 80's.

All my favourite bands like Tom petty & The Heartbreakers, The Rolling Stones and The Smiths to name a few, all used vintage guitars and amplifiers. There is a certain soul that you get from a vintage instrument that is not replicable by any new instrument. It's something very hard to pinpoint but they definitely have something a new instrument can't give you. Every classic record ever made, be it a Beatles record or a Stones record, a CSN&Y record, a Clash record or a Stone Roses record all implemented vintage guitars and amplifiers.

After managing a very successful vintage guitar department for one of Europe's leading guitar specialists I helped set up with my good friend Rob Rhodes a new company in 2007 called "We sell Guitars'. We Sell Guitars Limited offered high end investment grade guitars as well as pioneering a specialist brokering service.

When Rob and I parted company I continued to trade on a smaller more intimate level allowing me the freedom to continue my love of touring as a guitar technician, most notably with The Charlatans, Buzzcocks, Marion, Hard-Fi, The Alarm, The Coral, Lostprophets, Jah Wobble & Keith Levene (PIL) and Johnny Marr.

I've known Johnny Marr for 20 years and he is without a doubt the only person I know who lives and breaths music and is defined by his love of music and this 20th century icon that is known as the guitar.

It's my privilege to be able to do what I do. It's been my lifetime passion and I consider myself very blessed to be able to live the life I live.
